Job Description

Customer Service Representative – Temporary Summer Position Position Purpose The primary objective of this temporary position is to support the Office of Student Financial Services by providing excellent customer service to NEC students and families regarding billing, financial aid and payments. The position will run from May to August 2025. Essential Duties Summary Perform excellent customer service in the Office of Student Financial Services primarily by phone but also may include email and in person. Promptly answer incoming calls and make outreach calls. Assist students to obtain all available funding to cover account balances. Effectively and accurately communicate financial aid and billing policies and procedures. Assist students with the completion of financial aid and billing requirements and assist with account questions. Process payments. Required Qualifications Excellent customer service skills Excellent conflict and resolution skills Detail oriented Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products 1-3 years customer services experience Preferred Qualifications 1-3 years experience in a student services, financial aid, admissions or billing office.
