About the Position

The Client Liaison works directly with other BNN tax professionals, clients, and their representatives to obtain, organize, manage, and process client information. They are responsible for providing outstanding client service and facilitating efficiencies between clients and colleagues.
Competencies and Position Requirements
Dedicated to high-caliber client service
Runs and distributes monthly due date reports and make sure all deliverables are accounted for by the prescribed due date
Transfers, via secure server, any information requested to be sent electronically
In collaboration with the tax team, develops and executes project plans for assigned clients
Liaises with client, third-party advisors, and tax team to communicate timelines, manage expectations of all involved parties
Ensures tasks are tracking to schedule, and if not, facilitates resolution
Coordinates with clients and/or their advisors to obtain, organize, disseminate and/or process client data necessary for tax compliance and planning
Maintains database of information such as engagement letters, power of attorney and disclosure forms
Gains an understanding of the tax structures of assigned clients and comparatively assesses tax information year-over-year to ascertain new and/or missing information
Maintains regular communication with clients updating them on timelines and any needed or incomplete data
Serves as the primary contact for routine questions and troubleshoots client concerns and technology navigation/issues
Participates in client meetings
Keeps tax team abreast of client needs, preferences, and expectations
Assists with invoicing assigned clients and tracking payments
Assists team with continuous process improvement
Professional, dependable, and trustworthy combined with a cooperative attitude
Willingness to take initiative with the ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
Additional projects as required
Education and Experience
2 or more years of relevant administrative experience in a professional service setting or 5 or more years of customer service experience
Associate degree preferred; high school diploma required
Experience with all MS Office applications including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Experience with Industry related software preferred but not required, CCH ProFx, Go File Room, SafeSend, CaseWare
Strong organizational skill and attention to detail
Effective oral and written communications skills
Experience working with and maintaining confidentiality
Dependable and punctual
Work Environment
Ability to work extensive overtime in March, April, September, and October (including weekends and holidays)
Ability to perform under time-pressures and deadlines
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
