JobDetailsResponsibilities:
? Greet customers, complete equipmentintake, and prepare internal documents? Consult with techniciansand the Service Manager about needed repairs andalternativesolutions? Answer customer questions about service outcomes andconsult with technicianswhen necessary? Prepare and presentcustomer quotes? Assist customers with warranty claims andscheduling future service needs? Inform customers about potentialcost-saving options? Basic technical troubleshooting skills(electric/ hydraulic/ mechanical)? Assist in scheduling workflow?
Make minor repairs and assist technicians where necessary? Clearlyexplain the technician’s repair recommendations to the customer?
Informing customers of changes in service or when their equipmentis ready tobe picked up? Assist with final prep and cleaning beforerelease to the customer? Collaborate with Parts and TechnicalSupport Teams.
Cultivate relationships with customers, coordinatingservice activities, and providing transparent communicationregarding job scheduling, invoicing, and future repairneeds.
Develop and implement effective Service Department processesto ensure customer satisfaction.
Set annual goals and budgets forthe Service Department in alignment with organizationalobjectives.
Promote the sharing of best practices and standardprocesses within the Service Department.
Oversee the work orderclosing process, ensuring accuracy and appropriateness of parts andlabor.
Manage scheduled service maintenance plans and annual safetyinspections.
Collaborate with the Marketing department to promoteservice offerings.
Coordinate with the Warranty Administrator toensure appropriate actions are taken.
Lead and manage Supervisorsand Technicians, providing performance evaluations, coaching, andtraining.
Foster a safety culture within the Service Department,investigating accidents and preparing reports.
Manage shop tools,fleet inventory, and parts stocking levels.
Requirements:
Technicalknowledge of heavy equipment or similar machinery.
Experience inService Department operations.
Proficiency in electrical andhydraulic diagnostics.
Strong leadership and communicationskills.
Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customerservice.
Proficiency in computer software, Salesforce experiencepreferred.
Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
Strongproblem-solving and math skills.
Ability to analyze internal reportsand manage high-volume workflow.
Experience in Parts Distribution isa plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense ofurgency.
Desired Qualifications:
IPAF certifiedCPR/AEDcertificationClass 7 forklift (telehandler) certification orwillingness to train.
