We’re seeking a motivated Shipping/Receiving and Customer Service Specialist for a hybrid role at our dynamic facility. In this dual role, you’ll manage essential shipping and receiving tasks while delivering exceptional customer service. You’ll work closely with our toolroom/custom repair team, manufacturing manager, and report to our sales director. Key Responsibilities:
Shipping/Receiving:
Handle incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Use computer systems for inventory management and create labels with software like Shopify or ShipStation (training provided).
Customer Service:
Engage with customers to assess needs, resolve inquiries, and ensure high satisfaction.
Inventory & Record-Keeping:
Track inventory levels, process orders, and maintain accurate records, including invoices and purchase orders.
Collaboration:
Partner with manufacturing and repair teams to streamline operations.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
We seek a versatile candidate with a mix of physical, technical, and interpersonal skills:
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 lbs. Comfort with repetitive tasks like packing shipments is essential.
Computer Proficiency:
Familiarity with computer systems for inventory management, order processing, and record-keeping. Experience with Shopify or ShipStation is a plus, with training provided.
Customer Service Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills to address customer needs and maintain high service standards. A proactive approach to problem-solving is valued. Attention to

Accurate tracking of shipments and inventory to ensure error-free records.
Record-Keeping:
Comfort with digital systems to maintain precise documentation, including invoices and purchase orders.
Regulatory Knowledge:
Familiarity with shipping/receiving regulations and safety protocols for handling sensitive equipment is advantageous.
Adaptability:
Eagerness to learn and embrace training for advanced inventory and customer service skills.
Teamwork:
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
Bonus Skills:
Basic knowledge of label-making software or experience in optics, defense, or manufacturing is a plus but not required.
Pay & Benefits:
Compensation:
$18-$20/hour, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, with flexibility and overtime opportunities.
