We are looking for a Full-Time Medical Call Center Representative , reporting to the Revenue Cycle Operations Manager in our Rochelle Park, NJ Practice Support Center .

Summary:

This position is responsible for answering phone calls from patients, explaining the patient statements, and taking patient payments over the phone, and review statements for accuracy.

Essential Functions, Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Answer inquiries from patients regarding medical bills Read patient insurance EOB’s Review patient statements for accuracy before releasing to the statement vendor Explain to patients how the insurance company processed the patient claim Explain copay, co-insurance, deductibles, and denials for claims to patients Take patient payments over the phone Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

High School or GED equivalent required 3 years’ experience working in a medical office answering phones required

Skills and Abilities:

Excellent verbal communication skills Solid written and oral communications Ability to remain calm in stressful situations Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative Spanish speaking a plus Resourcefulness, time-management, organization, problem solving and critical thinking skills Adaptability to healthcare and practice changes in a progressive environment Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Physical Requirements:
