- Bobst North America Bobst North America is the sole distributor for Bobst Group SA, manufacturer of Converting Equipment for the Printing and Packaging industry.
The objective of this position is to ensure that all the Technical Services and Support activities of Bobst equipment are handled correctly and to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
The Technical Service Specialist (TSS) main role is to provide high quality support to our internal and external customers, by focusing on technical aspects, with missions in the field whenever it is deemed necessary. The TSS must ultimately be the key reference in North America for all technical questions related to equipment. The ultimate goal is to ensure that the customer’s needs are met, based on the customer’s expectations, and consistent with BNA service objectives. It should be noted that consistent and reliable follow-up, on all technical activities and projects, is key for this role.
The TSS will maintain regular contact with the Technical Service & Support at the Product Line (PL) to ensure a constant and accurate exchange of technical information. This role requires travel within the various markets to visit customers for specific projects, and to understand their needs and expectations.
The TSS performs this role with confidence, enthusiasm, and the desire to serve both internal and external customers. This position requires effective communication, problem solving and follow-up skills. The TSS maintains his/her composure under pressure and works with other team members and throughout the company to find solutions that serve customers and the needs of the business.
This is full-time position based at the Bobst headquarters in Parsippany, NJ. The typical workweek will be Monday through Friday and will include travel in the field when required. The successful candidate is an effective communicator, with a positive mindset looking for the best solutions.
Main Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain contact with the main Customers and visit them
Troubleshoot and repair equipment when business needs, either remotely (TSS function) or on Customer’s site (FST function)
Gain technical knowledges on installed base
Gain market knowledges
Follow up all technical problems until solutions are found.
Support Performance Solution Managers. Provide technical support and information for newly installed equipment.
Continue to develop TSS functions and tasks in Parsippany.
Maintain Pending Matter Report with TSS at PL
Participate in corrective action’s implementations decided/proposed by PL
Provide the highest level of technical support to our external and internal Customers.
Ensure the highest level of Customer satisfaction.
Warranty situation
- parts and labor:
Within the guidelines established by the Group, ensure that the warranty procedure is correctly applied.
Key Daily Tasks:
Ensure that all your business actions comply with the Bobst North America vision and valuesand with the Worldwide Code of Employee and Business Conduct.
Prioritize your tasks based on urgency.
Always repost immediately critical situations/news to your hierarchy.
All visits to Customers must be documented with technical report, including action plan, persons involved, and due dates.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science degree or higher preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
In good faith and in alignment with current market data, the base salary for this position is estimated to range between $85,000 and $95,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible for: Overtime Pay (OT)
