Summary:

The Surgical Service representative plays an integral role in the preparation, assembly and completion of charts for ASC/Pediatric Ambulatory/Morning Admit Units. They act as liaison between ASU/MA unit, PSE department, urology, endoscopy, admissions, OR scheduler, physician offices and in-house ancillary departments.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

High School graduate Associates Degree preferred

EXPERIENCE

One (1) year office experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

Medical Terminology Keyboard and computer knowledge Exceptional interpersonal and telephone management skills Must be organized in maintaining workflow Must possess patience and maturity in dealing with patients and families as well as medical staff and other hospital personnel Must be able to work rapidly with frequent interruptions while maintaining high degree of accuracy Must have knowledge of testing requirements in order to schedule appointments appropriately
