Reporting to the Intake Business Director, the Member Service Specialist plays a vital role in managing new enrollments and maintaining accurate member records. This position supports intake and outreach activities, handles sensitive member data, and ensures seamless coordination between internal departments and external partners. ________________________________________

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial interviews and explain plan benefits in detail to callers
• Manage and track referral and enrollment information accurately
• Enter demographic data and create initial Member Records
• Coordinate plan-to-plan transfers with NY Medicaid Choice/Maximus
• Assist Intake Clinical staff in obtaining necessary CDPAS documentation
• Prepare and provide Intake Records for QA and clinical review
• Maintain updated records in UAS and internal systems
• Provide general office support to the Intake/Outreach Department
• Keep Intake Business Director informed of issues and developments ________________________________________

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in healthcare or managed care environment
• Strong customer service skills with a compassionate, solution-oriented approach
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Bilingual in Chinese or Russian preferred
