The Service Writer plays a crucial role in the automotive service industry by acting as the liaison between customers and the service department. - Communicate with customers to understand their service needs and concerns
- Provide accurate estimates for automotive repairs and services
- Schedule service appointments and follow up with customers on the status of their vehicles
- Upsell additional services or products based on customer needs
- Collaborate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Transmit detailed repair information to technicians
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used ## Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to align customer needs with appropriate services
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes and terminology
- Proficiency in service writing and estimating
- Familiarity with air brake systems and suspension components is a plus
