Experience:
Minimum 2 years of customer service and order management experience.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
Communication:
Strong ability to interact professionally with customers and internal teams via phone and email.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to resolve inquiries efficiently and escalate complex issues as needed. Attention to
Detail:
Accuracy in order entry, tracking shipments, and managing customer accounts.
Responsibilities:
Process customer sales orders received via email, fax, customer portals, and EDI. Enter orders into NetSuite and maintain accurate records in Excel spreadsheets, ensuring correct quantities, pricing, brokers, and internal sales reps. Communicate special customer delivery requirements to production and shipping teams. Arrange weekly shipments by obtaining freight quotes and selecting cost-effective carriers. Collaborate with internal sales and production teams on order adjustments. Track pending orders through to shipping and obtain B.O.L. needed for invoicing. Develop a thorough understanding of products to offer effective substitutions when items are backordered. Resolve customer inquiries with accuracy and professionalism, escalating complex issues when necessary. Handle inbound and outbound communications via phone or email in a courteous and professional manner. Set up new customer accounts in NetSuite.
