ABATEMENT COORDINATOR
Winsor is looking for a Housing Customer Specialist/Lead Abatement Coordinator to become an integral part of our team in New York, NY. The right candidate will have experience with customer service and coordinating lead removal projects. Experience in managing relationships with tenants and residents would be immensely helpful to the candidate in this position. This position is full time in New York City and requires physical presence at NYCHA sites, in offices, and other locations. This is a 100% in person position. Duties:
Visit NYCHA residents in their homes to inform them of the steps needed to facilitate the removal of lead based paint contamination. Contact residents to schedule meetings with them in their homes. Complete standardized forms in support of lead abatement which is at no cost to the resident. Coordinate with other team members to schedule movers, hotel stays and temporary relocation vouchers to support residents while they temporarily relocate during the abatement process. Answer questions and keep residents informed of progress. Be happy, supportive, pleasant and helpful to our residents. Other duties as assigned and/or necessary for the successful removal of lead from NYCHA residences.
Requirements:
5 years of customer service experience with an emphasis on informing residents of steps needed to remove lead from their residences. Experience with working collaboratively with residents, building managers and customers. Lead certification is a plus but not mandatory.
