Customer Service Representative 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars 1127 Corporate Drive, Farmington, NY 14425 Home & Commercial Power Systems is a Generac, Kohler, and Cummins generator dealer with locations in Buffalo, Farmington, and Syracuse, NY. HPS is the leading installer of automatic home standby generators in Western and Central New York having installed over 5,000 home standby generators and has over 10,000 current service and preventive maintenance customers. We are looking for a highly organized and professional Customer Service Representative/Dispatcher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for answering inbound calls, scheduling service and maintenance appointments for standby generators, and working closely with the service department to monitor the status of customer generators. If you have strong customer service skills and a passion for problem-solving, this could be a great fit! This position will work Monday- Friday from 8am-5pm.

Advancement Opportunities Primary Duties:

Answer inbound calls and respond to customer inquiries professionally and efficiently. Schedule preventative maintenance and service calls for customers with standby generators. Work with the service department to monitor generator status, order parts, and track repairs. Verify and update customer contact information in field management software. Discuss scope of work, pricing, and services offered to new customers or new homeowners. Monitor customer generators through manufacturer’s remote monitoring portals. Track the status of follow-up repairs using a Google spreadsheet. Monitor the service inbox in Outlook for incoming service requests.

Qualifications:

1-3 years of experience in the service industry or a related field. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional customer service skills and phone etiquette.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.
