Key Responsibilities Customer Interaction :

Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and live chat, addressing questions about products, pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.

Order Management :

Process customer orders, track shipments, and coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery in a high-volume environment.

Issue Resolution :

Quickly resolve customer complaints, such as product defects or delivery delays, by collaborating with quality control, production, and shipping departments.

Data Entry and Accuracy :

Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, orders, and issues in the company’s CRM or ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Epicor).

Quoting and Pricing :

Prepare and deliver quotes to customers, ensuring alignment with pricing policies and manufacturing capabilities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

Work closely with sales, production, and supply chain teams to address customer requirements and expedite urgent requests.

Process Improvement :

Identify opportunities to streamline customer service processes, enhance response times, and improve customer satisfaction.

Compliance and Documentation :

Ensure all customer interactions and orders comply with industry regulations, company policies, and export/import requirements (if applicable).

Upselling Opportunities :

Identify and communicate opportunities for additional products or services to meet customer needs.

Qualifications Education :

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.

Experience :

2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume setting handling multiple customer inquiries simultaneously.

Technical Skills :

Proficiency in CRM and ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Epicor, or Microsoft Dynamics). Familiarity with manufacturing processes, such as production schedules, inventory management, or lead times. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Industry Knowledge :

Basic understanding of manufacturing operations, including product specifications, quality standards, and supply chain logistics.

Soft Skills :

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to handle customer interactions professionally. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset. High attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines. Team player with the ability to collaborate across departments. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing industry such as automotive, aerospace, electronics, or heavy machinery. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies. Familiarity with international shipping regulations or export documentation. Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin) to support diverse customer bases.
