Delivery Driver/Customer Service Mario’s Metro Pizza & Pasta 357 North Avenue, New Rochelle, NY 10801 Overview We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. The ideal candidate will have experience in route driving and a strong commitment to customer service. Duties Operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks, to transport goods efficiently. Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries. Load and unload products using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts. Ensure all deliveries are completed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and delivery confirmations. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status or any issues that arise. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation. Skills Proven experience in route driving, preferably as a delivery driver or courier. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety protocols. Ability to operate box trucks and other delivery vehicles safely. Experience with warehouse operations, including loading/unloading goods using forklifts or pallet jacks. Capability to drive manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members. Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy items as needed.
