Elmsford, NY Job Details Full-time $20 – $24 an hour 18 hours ago Qualifications Microsoft Excel Microsoft Outlook Customer service High school diploma or GED Computer skills Communication skills Entry level Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a self-motived, very reliable person that will be the point personal for sales at this site. Needs to ticket and take payment from customers. Be able to work with all different types of personalities and provide great customer service. Duties Point person for all visitors and ensure they are signed in and following the company safety policy. Notify the employee and department they are here to see. Answer any customer requests at the scale house. Help any questions or concerns. Input all truck tickets into the system. Ensure that all trucks are ticketed correctly, and the ticket is properly billed to the correct customer and for the correct amount. After ticket is printed give to the correct customer. Collect payment for customers. Process payment for customers either by collecting cash or processing their credit card. Send all the cash and credit card receipts to the Briarcliff office daily. Use credit card system to enter payments. Sort and distribute the daily mail. Ensure that all mail goes to the appropriate location and send down any mail to the Briarcliff office. Sort and compile all the daily tickets and ensure they are in number order and easy to find. Answer any customer phone calls and direct them to the correct person to take down their order information to enter in the system. Count and deposit all cash that comes in and out of the scale house. Responsible for requesting change as needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Customer Service or previous scale house experience is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Preferred knowledge and experience working with computerized scale systems and other similar software.
- Communication skills to be able to deal with a wide range of customers, vendors, drivers and other work personnel.
- Ability to work independently in a safe and efficient manner and to follow safety policies and procedures.
- Solid computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to maintain computerized records and databases in order to compile data to generate reports.
- Must have the ability to work overtime as needed.
