Contract Position Pay Rate:
$16.50/hour (Non-bilingual) $17.25/hour (Bilingual – Fluent in Spanish or French)
Location:
Pittsburgh, PA – Must reside within 2 hours of the location Join our team as a Remote Benefit Customer Service Representative and make a daily impact by guiding individuals through their healthcare and pension benefit questions. We’re looking for dependable, empathetic team members who want to grow their skills while helping others. This is a contract role with an anticipated start date in Mid August to Early September . While the position is remote, local candidates only — you’ll need to visit the office on Day 1 to pick up equipment and may occasionally be required to attend on-site meetings or trainings.
What You’ll Do:
Support members with benefit enrollments, plan updates, and general inquiries. Deliver personalized service through phone, email, and chat — with a focus on quality, not call volume. Start on one client and build experience across multiple accounts with cross-training. Break down complex plan information into clear, easy-to-understand guidance. Handle sensitive concerns with empathy and professionalism. Follow strict privacy protocols, including HIPAA compliance.
Schedule & Requirements:
Monday to Friday only — no weekends . Must be available to work any shift between 8:00 AM – 11:00 PM EST .
Peak season:
Full-time, 40 hours/week, with the possibility of overtime.
Off-peak season:
32-40 hours/week depending on volume. Must live within 2 hours of Pittsburgh, PA to be eligible.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Customer service or call center experience is a plus, but not required — paid training provided. Excellent communication and active listening skills. Comfortable working on a computer and learning new software tools. Must be adaptable and able to work with a variety of member personalities.
