EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

As a Human Services Program Representative 1, you will play a crucial part in providing technical assistance to contractors of the Adult Protective Services (APS) program. Your responsibilities will include overseeing and monitoring specific regions and counties within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as well as serving as a liaison between the APS contractor and other state departments and offices. In addition, you will be responsible for assessing the adequacy and thoroughness of investigations conducted by the APS contractor and addressing any identified risks to the adults involved. Your expertise in drafting policies and procedures will be essential in providing guidance and clarification to the APS contractor, and you will also collaborate with the APS director in developing and reviewing the regulations for the program. In the event of a high-profile case, you will provide technical assistance to the APS contractor to ensure a comprehensive and effective response.

As APS continues to progress, you will assist in the development and presentation of trainings acceptable to APS. These trainings are often available to providers and mandatory reporters throughout the Commonwealth, and can be both virtual and in person. You may also provide training to the APS contractor on newly developed policies, procedures, and resources. This will ensure that all individuals involved in the APS process are knowledgeable and up to date on best practices and protocols. Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per weekWork hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

Telework:

You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 5 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
