Service Advisor/Writer Pillar Auto Group / Grove City Ford 1 Taylor Plz, Grove City, PA 16127 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between customers and the service department, ensuring that all service requests are accurately documented and communicated to the technicians. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive repair processes and excellent customer service skills to provide an exceptional experience for our clients. Candidate must follow the Grove City Ford process for handling repair orders from pre-write up to redelivery. Responsibilities Greet customers and assess their service needs, providing knowledgeable recommendations based on their vehicle issues. Document customer concerns and service requests accurately in the system. Prepare detailed estimates for repairs and services, including parts and labor costs. Communicate effectively with technicians to ensure clear understanding of service requirements. Follow up with customers regarding the status of their vehicle repairs and any additional services needed. Maintain organized records of all service transactions and customer interactions. Ensure that all work orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Provide exceptional customer service to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty. Experience Previous experience as a Service Writer or in a similar role within the automotive industry is preferred. Ford experience is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly in areas such as diesel engine repair, brake repair, auto body repair, and automotive repair processes. Familiarity with auto estimating software and auto service management systems is beneficial. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer interaction. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently. A background in mechanics or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
