In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional service to our customers while efficiently handling transactions. Your primary responsibilities will include cash handling, managing the point-of-sale (POS) system, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. Process transactions accurately using the POS system. Handle cash and credit card transactions with precision and care. Maintain an organized and clean checkout area. Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels as needed. Provide product information and recommendations to enhance customer satisfaction. Supervise junior staff members during shifts, ensuring adherence to company policies. Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding customer feedback or concerns. Uphold phone etiquette when addressing customer calls or inquiries. Experience Previous experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred. Strong cash handling skills with a basic understanding of math for accurate transaction processing. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous but not required; training will be provided. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
