Key Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating with customers, warehouse personnel, and office staff to ensure customer needs are met. Gain working knowledge of import and export processes, learning all facets of the business from inbound to outbound logistics. Support inventory management efforts within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in stock control. Perform cost analysis in transportation and logistics to identify opportunities for cost reduction and margin improvement by analyzing: Vendor charges Internal procedures Scheduling and facility usage Serve as a liaison between office staff and warehouse teams to ensure clear communication, procedure adherence, and alignment with company objectives. Proactively contribute ideas to improve operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and reduce overall costs. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment across all departments, promoting shared responsibility and collective success. Generate and process client invoices with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring timely billing and compliance with company standards. Track, monitor, and maintain customer files, providing regular and timely updates to ensure client satisfaction and internal accountability. Qualifications/Experience High school diploma or GED required Minimum 3 years experience in a warehouse setting Cargo Wise experience a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven customer service capabilities
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work with a variety of products Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to climb on and off equipment, bend, kneel, reach, stand and squat Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required Ability to work in an environment with exposure to dust, fumes, noise, and inclement weather
