The Residence Inn Charleston, located at 200 Hotel Circle,Charleston, WV 25311 is currently hiring a Guest ServiceRepresentative.
Responsibilities include:
Organize, confirm, process, and conductall guest check-ins/check-outs, room reservations, requests,changes, and cancellations. Secure payment; verify and adjustbilling. Activate and file room keys. Process all guest requestsand relay messages. Print contingency lists to have a record of allguests in case of emergency. Identify and explain room features toguests; supply guests with directions and information regardingproperty amenities, services, and hours of operation, and localareas of interest. Ensure that any outstanding requests or problemsfrom the previous day receive priority and are resolved. Run andreview daily reports/logs. Complete designated cashier and closingreports in the computer system. Accept and record wake-up callrequests and deliver to appropriate department. Count bank atbeginning and end of shift; secure bank. Process all payment types,adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, andmiscellaneous charges; provide change. Notify LossPrevention/Security of any guest reports of theft.
Follow allcompany policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, andunsafe work conditions to manager; ensure uniform and personalappearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality ofproprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome andacknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipateand address guests’ service needs; assist individuals withdisabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak withothers using clear and professional language; answer telephonesusing appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive workingrelationships with others; support team to reach common goals.
Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Stand,sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Move, lift, carry,push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties asrequested by Supervisors.
