Position Overview:
Siemens Mobility Inc. has positions available for OverhaulTechnicians at our new Customer Service shop in Lexington, NC. Inthis role, you will work as part of a team responsible for theoverhaul of Siemens train and rail vehicles for our TSSSAcustomers. This position reports to the CS Production Manager. What your day-to-day will look like: Undertake all aspects of overhaul maintenance of Siemens trainand rail vehicle components to meet the requirements of theproduction plan. Remove, inspect, and fit components in accordance with Siemenswork instructions. Use CNC lathe equipment when applicable. Use a pressure washer to pre-clean components prior toinspection. Maintain overall workshop husbandry and perform other tasks asrequired and directed by management or the lead technician. Assist the warehouse team in collecting spares and materialsfrom stores. Safely move train and rail car components using overhead cranesand lifting devices. There is potential for growth within the company, includingopportunities for advancement to a supervisory role based onperformance and experience. To thrive in this role, you should have: A High School Diploma or GED. 4+ years of experience in a predominantly mechanicalenvironment with some electrical working knowledge. Experience in accurately documenting actions andoperations. Good knowledge and understanding of tool control, torquewrenches, measuring equipment, and appropriate PPE. The ability to understand and interpret relevant technicalpublications. The ability to produce detailed technical reports. Well-demonstrated verbal and written communication skills inEnglish.
