Job Description

Customer Service Specialist Santee State Park 251 State Park Road, Santee, SC 29142 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service & Administrative Support Representative to join our team at Santee State Park. This dynamic, customer-facing role supports the daily operations of multiple park facilities, including the visitor center, park camp store, and admissions booth. You’ll serve as a key point of contact for visitors and customers, helping with reservations, answering questions, and ensuring an outstanding overall experience. Key Responsibilities Deliver exceptional customer support via phone, email, and in-person interactions. Provide information and assistance to walk-in visitors regarding reservations, park amenities, events, and services. Manage campsite, cabin, and shelter reservations using a Central Reservation System (training provided). Rotate between the visitor center, park camp store, and admissions booth as scheduled to meet operational needs. Process orders, returns, exchanges, and handle cash and credit card transactions in accordance with proper procedures. Perform general administrative duties including data entry, maintaining records, and responding to correspondence. Support sales efforts by identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling park services or merchandise. Ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming office/visitor center environment. Maintain accurate documentation of all customer interactions and transactions. Assist with ongoing public relations and customer service initiatives. Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in customer service, administrative support, or public-facing roles preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus. Comfortable using computers and databases; familiarity with CRM or reservation systems is beneficial. Experience with cash handling and basic sales support is advantageous. Positive attitude, adaptability, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Must be reliable and professional with strong organizational skills. Additional Information This is a part-time position (16-40 hours per week), with hours varying by season and demand.
