Basic Function:
Responsible for processing qualified orders, handling all inbound calls from patients and referrals, while working in conjunction with the Referral Management Team to ensure accuracy and expedited order completion. Customer Service Specialists will learn the entire front-end process, and ensure orders are ready to be handed off to the Authorization or Scheduling Team.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain working knowledge of current home medical equipment products and services offered by the company. Review all required documentation to ensure we are providing the correct and qualified piece of equipment. Accurately process orders, verify insurance coverage and create tickets for delivery. Answer all calls and emails in a timely manner, keeping wait times at a minimum. Provide excellent customer service and educate patients on their equipment. Utilize company provided tools to maintain quality orders. Maintain patient confidentiality and function within the guidelines of HIPAA. Participate in educational/training programs as required. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Language:
(Intermediate) Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math:
(Intermediate) Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Reasoning:
(Intermediate) Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Brightree software application knowledge is a plus
