We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our team and help deliver an exceptional service experience to our valued customers. Position Summary The Service Writer acts as the liaison between customers and our service department. This role involves greeting customers, understanding their service needs, documenting repair orders, ordering parts and ensuring effective communication between technicians and clients. Key Responsibilities Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner Listen to customer concerns and accurately write up repair/service orders Schedule service appointments and maintain daily workflow Communicate estimates, timelines, and service updates clearly to customers Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely and accurate repairs Upsell additional maintenance and services when appropriate Maintain records of service transactions and customer interactions Ensure customer satisfaction and handle complaints professionally Maintain parts inventory Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Prior experience as a service writer or in a customer service role (heavy equipment, ag, or automotive industry a plus) Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in using computers and service management software (Microsoft Office) Regular attendance and timeliness are essential to this position Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks Availability to work extended hours and weekends as needed What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience On-the-job training and career growth opportunities Positive and supportive work environment We offer an excellent PTO package after 6 months of employment Employee discount Holiday pay Overtime pay & commission
