Job Description
Customer Service & Partitions Drafter (AutoCAD Experience Preferred) 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Jackson, TN 38301 Summary The Customer Service Partitions Drafter will create partition layouts for customer orders and prepare detailed shop drawings, including hardware specifications, for manufacturing. They will provide customers with technical product information and serve as a back-up for Technical Services and Customer Support teams.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday 7:00am-3:30pm (overtime as needed)
Job Responsibilities:
Prepares accurate partition drawing from architectural plans, customer sketches, calculating dimensions of components, relation of one component to another, and relation of various components to whole structure or project. Constructs drawings by utilizing Bobrick design criteria and AutoCAD drawing program software. Creates component list, material cut sheets and appropriate installation hardware detail with use of Bobrick 5-25 software program. Compiles shop cut sheet from drawing, noting special sizes, seams, drilling, hardware, or packing instructions. Compiles hardware Pick Sheet and downloads text files for hardware into Detail Parts System. Calculates material requirements if required, using Cut Plan Software. Designs and draws special components for special orders as needed. Organizes and updates files of current hardware and design criteria, special installations, and communicates appropriate information to Customer Support Department. Provides technical information to Customer Support Department, factory representatives, or customers. Clarifies technical issues on orders with factory representatives or customers, as needed. Analyzes field complaints and provides feedback on product problems. Performs duties of Customer Service Partitions in order processing as assigned.
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Technical training and one to three years related customer service experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be willing to learn and be receptive to feedback during the learning process. Must be able to quickly and effectively retrieve relevant information from various resources such as catalogs, online resources and standard operating procedures. Must be detail-oriented to make sure customer orders and drawings/layouts are done correctly. Must have exceptional critical-thinking ability to be able to investigate each customer’s problem, gather information and provide the best solution for the customer that is a win-win situation for the customer and Bobrick. Must be able to multi-task various aspects of the job in a high-stress environment. Must be able to work under ever-changing deadlines which may create pressure on the job. Must be able to accurately input data into on-line order-entry system. Must have exceptional customer relations and communications skills in order to effectively and tactfully deal with customer questions and complaints (for both internal and external customers). Must have excellent follow-through skills to ensure that customer inquiries are effectively and expeditiously resolved. Must be able to retrieve relevant information quickly and effectively from various resources such as catalogs, online resources and standard operating procedures and assist the team members. Must be service-oriented with exceptional human relations and communications skills to deal with customer questions and complaints effectively and tactfully. Must have a high degree of technical skill with ability to interpret specifications, plans, blueprints, submittals, and other technical information in order to process customer submittal requests and orders.
