Collision Estimator Fix Group Management Columbia, TN Browns is a robust body shop that has been in business for more than 50 years! We are looking for rockstar Auto Body Technicians at both our Franklin and Columbia locations! We are looking to take our shops to the next level, therefore we want top tier talent! Come join our growing shop today! The Estimator manages the customer repair process from check-in to delivery, ensuring exceptional service and effective communication throughout. This role involves working closely with customers and insurance companies, overseeing estimates and payments, and supporting the overall administrative functions of the shop.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Customer Repair Management:
Oversee the repair process to ensure a seamless experience from vehicle check-in to delivery. Communicate directly with customers and insurance companies regarding estimates, supplements, and payments. Keep customers updated throughout repairs, using the CCC Customer Experience system to log notes.
Estimating and Documentation:
Write accurate and detailed repair plans using estimating software, incorporating technician input to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. Provide necessary documentation to facilitate accurate payments from insurance companies. Write and follow up on photo estimates and assignments daily, coordinating with Office Admin for assistance.
Parts Procurement:
Procure parts through electronic ordering and sourcing, utilizing preferred vendors and maximizing available discounts. Manage supplements for parts, materials, and sublet needs by collaborating with the Parts Coordinator.
Customer Service Excellence:
Deliver exceptional customer service by demonstrating empathy, providing timely updates, and thoroughly explaining the repair process to customers. Conduct final walk-around with the detailer and the customer before vehicle delivery, ensuring satisfaction.
Administrative Duties:
Manage repair order (RO) documentation, ensuring accurate estimates, invoicing, and timely payments. Print RO paperwork for the vehicle and tech daily, including labor assignments and parts lists. Complete vehicle check-ins and deliveries daily using the CCC Mobile app for walkarounds and final bill reviews.
Collaboration and Production:
Participate in daily production meetings with the General Manager and back-of-house staff to optimize workflow and achieve sales goals. Prioritize daily work for technicians, paint, and detail/QC to ensure efficient shop operations. QC each vehicle to ensure quality repairs and verify full payments on ROs prior to delivery.
Expectations:
Maintain high standards of customer service and communication throughout the repair process. Ensure accurate documentation and timely invoicing to support financial integrity. Collaborate effectively with team members to enhance operational efficiency and achieve shop goals, including regular reviews of sales, gross profit, and margins. This comprehensive approach highlights the critical responsibilities of the Service Advisor role, focusing on customer service, effective communication, and operational efficiency within the repair process.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience:
3 or more years of experience as a Service Advisor or related position
Organizational & Focus Skills :
Must be able to work and complete work tasks in a timely fashion in an environment that has constant distractions and interruptions.
Computer Knowledge :
Must possess a working knowledge of how to use a Windows computer. This includes the ability to type or dictate at least 30 words per minute, operate a cursor, view a computer monitor, operate an email account, and use common office software such as word processing and spreadsheet programs.
Communication Skills:
Must be able to communicate in English fluently, both in verbal and in written form. This includes the use of a telephone.
Math Skills :
Must possess ability to count. Must know how to perform basic math functions using a calculator.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to get into and out of various vehicles without assistance. Must be able to drive a motor vehicle with passengers.
