- Record the information provided by callers accurately and completely, including telephone number, patient name, and message details
- Use correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation when completing phone notes and emails
- Route completed phone notes and live callers to the appropriate staff member in a timely manner, working quickly and efficiently to increase productivity
- Answer telephone calls professionally and pleasantly, using a caring and compassionate tone of voice
- Identify calls and messages that are of an emergent or urgent nature following the provided guidelines and notify the appropriate staff member
- Maintain a current knowledge of clinic employees and their role
- Adhere to internal policies regarding confidentiality and federal HIPAA regulations
- Performs other related duties as assigned Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Computer/data entry skills Preferred
- Previous experience involving heavy telephone usage and electronic medical records
