Teacher artNest Coral Springs Coral Springs, FL 33067 art NEST™ Coral Springs location is seeking teachers who are deeply passionate about early childhood education, the creative process of children, and sharing that process with others. art NEST™ is a nurturing, non-competitive, non-judgmental environment where class size is limited so each student receives individual attention. Our age appropriate classes for “grown-up and me” and independent kids aged two to preteen focus on the basics of visual arts and challenge inventiveness, problem solving and imagination. We offer a varied arts program including painting, drawing, collaging, book making, photography, jewelry making, fashion and more.
Minimum education:
High School Diploma Preferred:
Currently enrolled in college, Associate or Bachelor degree. Emphasis on early childhood education preferred Availability Must have availability weekday hours for after school enrichments/ workshops Must have Weekend day availability for parties and weekend enrichment/ workshops. Schedules can change on a weekly basis, based on the needs of the studio, and off site events. Responsibilities include but are not limited to Teaching lesson-based art activities, as well as basic techniques. Creating and implementing lesson plans Facilitating and Hosting Birthday Parties and Field Trips Interacting with children and parents/caregivers while providing exemplary customer service Assisting in day-to-day studio operations including, but not limited to enrolling class participants, processing payments, setting and cleaning up before and after classes Provide for students’ safety and general welfare Demonstrate caring and respect in interactions with students Qualifications and skills Early Childhood education experience or similar For example: Daycares, aftercare, elementary school, summer camps Ability to adapt and think on your feet in a fast-paced environment Ability to create upbeat, engaging customer experiences Passion for the arts and creativity Outgoing and personable, a people person Self-directed and able to work independently and as part of team Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to facilitate and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others Ability to communicate effectively Flexibility, organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills Must be able to pass a level 2 background check
