$37.5K – $45.4K a year 1 day ago Qualifications Mid-level High school diploma or GED Driver’s License 4 years Full Job Description Department Facilities – Master Craftsman Responsibilities Leads the MCS Internship Program and promotes the program to participants and stakeholders. Manages the intern selection process each semester, coordinates schedules, and creates curriculum incorporating variable commission work along with all aspects of the studio’s functions not covered by those projects. May fabricate all materials, including wood, metal, glass, plastics, etc. to create MCS designs. Assists in project management and acts as customer liaison. Assists with the design and completion of the studio’s commission work. May operate MCS design and fabrication equipment and associated software, including but not limited to: CNC Laser, CNC vinyl printer, and cutter. Enters project/job data in AIM, maintaining proficiency and attending monthly AiM training courses. Analyzes current market trends and material cost before making purchases for projects. Assess and determine campus-wide needs for custom PPE equipment when necessary. Reviews inventory for Property Management and oversees the disposal of items to the Surplus Department. Preforms the annual inventory of the department’s capital property. Drives university vehicles as required. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalency and four years’ experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years. A valid State of Florida or Georgia Driver’s License or ability to obtain upon hire.
