STEM Teacher & Odyssey of the Mind Coach The Pioneer School, Inc. 2299 Rolling Hills Drive, Saint Augustine, FL 32086 Part-Time STEM Teacher & Odyssey of the Mind Coach The Pioneer School | Middle School Grades The Pioneer School is seeking a dynamic, part-time educator to teach engaging STEM classes and serve as a coach for our Odyssey of the Mind team. This is a unique opportunity to inspire middle school students through hands-on learning, creative problem solving, and real-world applications of science, technology, engineering, and the arts.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have experience and/or interest in teaching a variety of STEM topics such as: Coding & programming Robotics & electronics Rocketry Artificial Intelligence 3D printing & design In addition to teaching, you will coach a middle school Odyssey of the Mind team—guiding students through a collaborative and imaginative journey while honoring the program’s core rule of no outside assistance . Coaching requires facilitating brainstorming, design thinking, and teamwork without solving problems for students.
What We’re Looking For:
Passion for STEM education and creative learning Experience or strong interest in Odyssey of the Mind or similar program Background in one or more of the following: engineering, performing arts, design, construction, public speaking, or visual arts Strong classroom management and ability to work with middle school students A collaborative spirit and enthusiasm for “thinking outside the box” About Odyssey of the
