POSITION SUMMARY

Applies finishing and paint to speakers and components. Operates in a spray booth typically spraying wooden or FRP cabinets. Works as part of a team but has sufficient experience to work independently and provide oversight and guidance for other team members as necessary.

POSITION DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Prepares work by studying work instructions, drawings, and parts lists; gathers parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. Review job requirements and ensure proper paint and tooling prior to spraying Clean parts as per specification Paint part according to specification and thickness Keep paint booth filters changed, booth FOD free and complete paperwork. Post paint inspection of parts for appearance and proper coverage. Able to paint effectively on different surfaces and metals Applies some advanced skills that allow employee to adapt and meet some complex or non-routine situations Observe safety regulations and wear protective masks and clothing during spray painting operations. Resolves problems by notifying supervisor. Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshoots equipment malfunctions; asks for repairs. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Checks stock to determine inventory level and anticipating needed supplies. Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Contributes to team effort by working cooperatively with others. Works independently with minimal guidance from Team Lead.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Experience with paint spraying a plus. Experienced with hand tools, electric tools and pneumatic tools preferred Able to work independently and provide oversight/guidance to others as needed. Good communication skills. Able to convey instructions to others.
