- Hybrid work Artist Fellowship and Membership Administrator Job description: The Artist Fellowship & Membership Admin will be responsible for coordinating our new Longfellow Emerging Artist Fellowship (LEAF) program as well as providing administrative and creative support for our robust membership program. This
- new• position is responsible for managing an open call process for artists, coordinating with panelists, and scheduling workshops, performances, retreats, etc.
In addition, this role will play an important role in processing memberships and cultivating a positive show experience for our members. You will work closely with the Executive Director, Development Director, Communications Director, Talent Buyer, OLS Members and LEAF artists and stakeholders. This position entails daytime work with some nights and weekends. This is anticipated to be a 20 hour/week position. The successful candidate will be a reliable, self-motivated team player with a deep love for live music and a penchant for community-building.
Primary responsibilities:
Manage Fellowship open-call process utilizing SlideRoom software. Coordinate with identified panelists to evaluate fellowship applications. Communicate as necessary with all applicants; serve as primary point of contact for selected Fellows Coordinate with artists serving as workshop facilitators, mentors, etc. to schedule programming for LEAF cohort. Work with Talent Buyer to schedule outdoor performance opportunities for LEAF artists. Coordinate all aspects of artist retreat Process memberships in donor database; manage timely membership acknowledgements and benefit mailings. Working with Development Director and Development Committee, identify additional membership engagement opportunities Coordinate with internal staff and external community partners on LEAF promo and marketing Periodically attend shows with high levels of membership engagement to make personal connections with our loyal patrons. Shared box office support as needed Other duties as required Knowledge and Skills required: College degree or work experience in relevant field – preferably music venue or nonprofit arts organization Ability to deftly coordinate multiple priorities and personalities Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Excellent verbal communication skills Data-entry and schedule management experience Strong attention to detail Demonstrated creative problem-solving ability – especially in time-sensitive situations Capacity to stay informed of industry trends and competitive landscape. Knowledge of the Portland music and arts scene is a plus! The employee will be able to assume a wide range of responsibilities, to work with a highly motivated and competent staff, and to work under pressure. The employee must demonstrate a willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends. In addition, the employee must provide timely response to requests and deadlines and receive, process, and provide visual, verbal, and written information. The employee must be an energetic self-starter who is able to function comfortably in a team environment or independently and relates well to co-workers and the public. This position requires flexibility and the ability to manage time and multiple tasks with light supervision.
