Job Description
Painter Apprentice/shop floater Woodshop QC 5019 Wilkinson Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28208 We are looking for a detail oriented candidate. The candidate needs to be anxious to learn. Must be teachable, hard working and punctual. Previous Auto painter/prepper or an interest in that field is encouraged to apply.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Apply paint/stain to cabinet doors, cabinets, trim ect. (preferred not required) Use and maintain paint equipment and cup-type spray guns (a plus) Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, and filling holes to ensure smooth and even application of paint Apply caulk or sealant to fill gaps and cracks for a finished look Maintain material workflow in a productive manner and complete tasks in a timely manner with attention to quality and detail Stay on your feet throughout the day with general pushing, pulling, 40-50lbs lifting, and bending required Knowledge of wood products and finish (preferred but not required) Keep work orders together Use variety of hand tools (preferred but not required) Keep a safe and clean work area Must be thorough in cleaning paint booth and paint gun between projects. 1-2 years’ experience a plus staging a plus (installing slides, drawer boxes, door/drawer fronts ect.)
