Our paint-your-own pottery studio is a welcoming space where creativity, community, and connection come together. Job Description:
We’re seeking a Part-Time Pottery, Mosaic & Glass Instructor with an out-of-the-box approach to art education. You’ll teach hand-building pottery, glass fusing, and mosaic classes—but more importantly, you’ll inspire people to explore creativity in unexpected ways. We want someone who brings artistic vision, playful experimentation, and a people-first mindset to every workshop, walk-in, and studio interaction. This is not your typical art instructor role. We’re looking for someone with an avant-garde attitude , who isn’t afraid to break a few (metaphorical) molds and spark curiosity in every guest—from curious kids to seasoned crafters.
Responsibilities:
Teach pottery hand-building, mosaic art, and glass fusing classes Guide walk-in guests through unique, one-of-a-kind projects Help design and lead themed workshops and artistic events Encourage creative risk-taking and experimentation in a supportive way Assist in prepping materials, setting up, and maintaining a clean, inspiring studio Model professionalism, punctuality, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset Provide caring, individualized support to guests of all skill levels
What We’re Looking For:
Experience with clay work (hand-building required; wheel experience a plus) Familiarity with glass fusing and mosaics A teaching style that’s imaginative, engaging, and non-traditional Someone who sees creative potential in the unexpected A warm, patient communicator who supports both artistic growth and personal connection Strong sense of initiative, time management, and reliability Available for evenings and/or weekends
Compensation:
$20-$25/hour depending on experience Bonus pay for event instruction and specialty programming
Bonus Skills:
Background in art education, alternative teaching methods, or therapeutic arts Experience running workshops or planning community events Kiln knowledge (training provided if needed)
