Wellheart Chartered Public School follows a Reggio Emilia-inspired philosophy where the role of the Atelierista is pivotal. The Atelierista is a specialized teacher who works closely with children and educators to integrate art, design, and creativity into all areas of learning. We are seeking an Atelierista who can collaborate with teachers and guide students in exploring materials, design processes, and artistic expression.
Key Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with teachers to develop and implement projects that integrate art, design, and creative expression into the curriculum. Guide children in using a variety of materials to explore concepts and deepen learning. Encourage experimentation and innovation in the use of art and other creative media. Maintain and manage the atelier (creative space), ensuring it is well stocked and organized for exploration. Document children’s creative processes and share these with parents and the school community. Facilitate professional development for teachers in using creative processes to enhance student learning.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or related field. Experience working as an Atelierista or in a similar creative role within an early childhood or Reggio-inspired setting. Expertise in a wide range of artistic materials and techniques. Ability to collaborate with teachers and foster a creative, inquiry-driven classroom environment. Passion for working with young children and supporting their creative development.
