Level 2-3 Low Voltage – Audio Visual Technician Position Available In Jefferson, Alabama

Level 2-3 Low Voltage – Audio Visual Technician Reliant Media Birmingham, AL 35211 Reliant Media is currently seeking Level 2 and Level 3 Low Voltage / Audio Visual Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for cabling, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage and audio-visual systems for commercial and residential customers. You will work under the supervision of a Crew Lead and receive necessary on-the-job training to learn how we do things as a company.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage and audio-visual systems Pull and terminate wiring for data, voice, audio, and video networks Install and configure audio and video equipment, including projectors, displays, speakers, microphones, and sound systems under the supervision of a Crew Lead. Test and diagnose system issues, and provide solutions to ensure optimal performance Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment Required Experience /

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent Valid US Driver’s License Basic computer/smart phone experience 3-5 years of experience in low voltage or audio-visual installations (Required) Intermediate knowledge of electrical and networking concepts Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints Proficiency in using hand and power tools Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions Other Requirements of the job: Ability to wear proper PPE based on the requirements of jobsites Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 75lbs Ability to drive/travel between jobsites, when required, via company vehicle Ability to work 1 to 2 hours away from Birmingham when needed Ability to stay in company provided lodging if needed to work multiple days an hour or more away from Birmingham Ability to use company provided computer and/or tablet to meet job needs as required Work Schedule for an

Installation Technician:

This position typically works 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility depending on the job site (pre-existing or new) as well as construction site scheduling requirements occasionally. There is also the opportunity to work overtime from time to time. Competitive pay, ranging from $18 to $23 per hour, depending on experience.
