Audio/Video Technician Hoyt Stereo 1927 Beach Boulevard, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Audio Visual Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in audio visual technology, with expertise in computer hardware, cabling, and electrical systems. This role involves working on-site to install, maintain, and troubleshoot audio visual equipment for various events and installations. The Audio Visual Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality audio and visual experiences for our clients. Duties Install, configure, and maintain audio visual equipment including projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing tools. Conduct thorough testing of audio visual systems to ensure optimal performance before events. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to audio visual equipment during live events. Collaborate with event coordinators and other technical staff to understand specific requirements for each project. Utilize hand tools and electrical testing equipment such as voltmeters to perform repairs and maintenance on AV systems. Read and interpret schematics to assist in the installation and repair processes. Provide field service support as needed, ensuring all installations meet industry standards and client expectations. Experience Proven experience in audio visual engineering or a related field is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various hand tools. Familiarity with cabling techniques and electrical systems is essential. Experience with E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) is a plus. Ability to maintain equipment effectively while adhering to safety standards. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure.
