Part Time Audio-Visual Specialist A local church in Cantonment, Florida is looking for a Part Time Audio-Visual Specialist to join their team who is willing to work alongside church volunteers in a paid position. The role requires a level of technical expertise beyond the current capabilities within our church community, making it essential for the successful candidate to approach their responsibilities with a servant’s heart

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage audiovisual setup and operation during Sunday church services, including worship practice and live service support.
  • Coordinate and oversee AV requirements for occasional events outside of regular Sunday services.
  • Maintain current sound equipment and systems, performing comprehensive and scheduled quality checks.
  • Write standard operating procedures for AV systems in place.
  • Initiate RMA requests for damaged equipment in collaboration with office staff and the worship team.
  • Provide support and collaborate with vocalists and musicians, including piano, flute, bass guitar, electric guitar, drums, and other instruments as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Experience with
Audio Equipment:

Proficiency in using and troubleshooting large digital mixers and sound equipment. Experience with Sennheiser Wireless Handheld Microphone System and Sennheiser Wireless Lavalier/headset Microphone System.

    Live Streaming Management:

    Experience in managing live streams on platforms such as Facebook and Vimeo.

      Presentation Skills:

      Ability to effectively operate PowerPoint for presentations prepared by church office staff.

        Technical Troubleshooting:

        Strong problem-solving skills to address sound equipment and signal issues promptly.

          Team Collaboration:

          Experience in scheduling Sunday AV volunteers (if needed) and coordinating with a team of volunteers.

            Grace and Understanding:

            Ability to show patience and understanding towards those with varying levels of technical knowledge.

              Conflict Resolution:

              Skill in de-escalating tensions and fostering a harmonious environment among worship team members.

                Mentorship and Growth:

                Willingness to help others develop their skills and knowledge in audiovisual technology.

                  System Improvement:

                  An initial budget will be set aside for the selected candidate to propose and implement improvements to enhance AV systems. Proposals will be discussed with Diaconate and the Worship Leader before approval.

                  Compensation & Benefits:
                  • For this position, you will be paid $28/hour
                  Hours:

                  Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings (approximately 10 hours per week)
