Acadian Technology Group is looking for a technician for a home theater company that has served the Tampa area for 3 years whose work includes the design and installation of theaters, whole-home audio systems, security cameras, managed networks, automation systems, as well as low voltage pre-wiring for construction. This is an entry-level position. You will begin at the ground level working with experienced technicians running cables, installing devices and window treatments, and improving your skills. This candidate can listen and communicate well and work in a team environment taking instruction. The AV Installer position is hands-on and will involve installing state-of-the-art systems in private residences and commercial spaces. We work on high-profile projects that require exceptional service and excellent attention to detail.

Technician Tasks:

• Provide exceptional customer service as you safely load, transport, and deliver items to customer’s homes.
• Variety of home installations (Mounting flat-screen televisions on wall, installation of camera systems, installation of ring-type doorbell devices, etc.)
• Home Theater installation including theater screens and projectors.
• In-wall speakers, in-ceiling speakers, floor-standing speakers.
• Installation and wiring of speakers in-ceiling, in-wall, outdoor speakers.
• Pre-wire new construction homes for low voltage, AV, and security cameras.
• Read blueprints and wire a house or commercial property accordingly.
• Low voltage wiring to include data, cable, and security.
• Networking background to include wiring, installation, and programming of wireless access points, routers, and switches.
• CCTV IP camera wiring, installation.

• Self-motivated, ability to work independently, and be accountable for work quality
• Ability to work well with others, have a customer service-oriented mindset, and strong work ethic.
• We require a clean driving record and background check.
• Candidates must have reliable transportation, basic tools for working with low voltage equipment.

$18.00 – $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
