We’re currently looking for a skilled and service-oriented Audiovisual Technician to join our team on a contract basis. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about sound, has hands-on technical expertise, and thrives in both collaborative and independent work environments. Key Responsibilities Install, connect, and calibrate microphones, speakers, amplifiers, mixers, video monitors, projectors, and video cameras. Perform sound checks and visual inspections to ensure optimal system performance. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across various AV systems. Provide clients with clear, user-friendly instructions on how to operate installed equipment. Deliver excellent customer service and act as a trusted on-site technician. Work flexible hours, including extended shifts as needed by the project schedule. Maintain care and accountability for all company equipment and promptly report any damage. Collaborate with the team to configure and optimize systems for each unique project. Qualifications Associate or technical degree in Audio Technology or a related field preferred Prior experience in AV installations Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation Basic proficiency with hand tools (screwdrivers, drills, tape measures) Ability to lift equipment and work on ladders or scaffolding (occasionally) Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt to changing job requirements Ability to work independently and in a team Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills Flexibility to assist in tasks outside of job description when necessary Familiarity with Digital Signal Processors (DSPs), digital mixing consoles, and wireless microphone systems Understanding of low-voltage wiring, frequency spectrums, and acoustic treatment panels Language Skills Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
