JOS DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a detail-oriented, AV Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and testing a variety of display and audio systems for both residential and commercial clients. A strong understanding of low voltage systems, including audio-visual (AV), security, networking, and control systems is preferred. The ideal candidate is a proactive, results oriented technician comfortable with creative problem solving.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install and configure display systems, including televisions, projectors, flat panels, and motorized screens.
• Set up and test audio systems, including speakers, amplifiers, sound systems and control panels.
• Integrate control systems such as Josh.ai, Savant, and Control4.
• Install and set up security cameras and Network Video Recorder (NVR) systems for monitoring and recording.
• Contact product manufacturers and distributors to troubleshoot technical issues as they occur
• Collaborate with clients, fellow technicians, and other project stakeholders to create custom design plans
• Provide post-installation support, including system testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations and configurations.
• Stay updated on the latest AV technologies and industry best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS

• Experience installing and configuring display, audio, security, and other smart tech systems.
• Skilled in working with power tools, running wiring, and mounting televisions/ projectors.
• Knowledge of installing and configuring AV systems.
• Familiarity with Josh.ai, Savant, Control4, and other control systems preferred, but not required.
• Experience in rack building, wire management, terminations and testing preferred.
• Strong understanding of low voltage systems, including audio-visual (AV), security, networking, and control systems preferred.
• Comfortable carrying, climbing and working on ladders and/or lifts.
• Willingness to follow directions, work with an installation team, and learn new skills.
• Ability to present a positive, professional, and courteous image to our customers

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 2 years of AV technician experience preferred
• Valid US driver’s license
• Clean criminal background check (must be able to pass CORI background check).
• Ability to travel to job sites across Tampa Bay region and to office in Orlando.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATES

• High school or equivalent
• Certifications in Josh.

• $24 per hour (dependent on experience level)
• Expected hours: 5
• 20 per week

Schedule Structure:

Combination of 4 and 8 hour shifts, Monday
