RESPONSIBILITIES

Create and execute all digital media strategies across all platforms: electronic signage, social media and website. Organize, install and use all media equipment. Recruit, train and provide leadership to the Audio/Visual Volunteer Team . Research and recommend new software and/or hardware as needed to continue our goal of evolving and improving our digital audio/video programming. Create, maintain and coordinate a church calendar to balance the use of church facilities and parking lot between internal activities and external community groups. External groups include, but are not limited to, Cygnet School, CGIS, choir, Girl Scouts, weddings and funerals. Works directly with the Senior Pastor, staff and others, prepare slide presentations for worship services, special events and ministry events. Work with ministry teams’ leadership to organize, prioritize and execute a communication plan to share special events, create online event advertisements and registration links with the congregation and public. Manage the UMT website. Be a team player.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Professional, friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal skills needed to establish and maintain relationship with church staff, volunteers, visitors and members. Have working knowledge of ProPresenter or being willing to learn the program. Critical attention to detail and must be extremely organized. Ability to prioritize, meet multiple deadlines, and manage multiple projects with excellent follow-up.

Self-starter:

ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with minimal supervision. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design), E-marketing programs (i.e., Constant Contact, Survey Monkey), and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.). Experience with video editing programs preferred. Basic hardware knowledge with the ability to network computers, install programs and trouble shoot equipment issues.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

Available for Sunday morning church services on a rotating schedule (to be determined) from approximately 9:30 AM to 12:00 Noon. Evening and weekend activities may be required. Activities may include, but not limited to, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Christmas Eve, weddings and funerals. Ability to climb at least one (1) flight of stairs to access the A/V equipment in the balcony. Read and interpret documents. Write reports and correspondence. Smoke free campus.
