Salary rate depends on previous experience.

Job Description:

Service Technician which services and occasionally assists with installing audio video Systems to AV Solutions standards. As a part of AV Solutions’ delivery team, your key objectives include delivering accurate, direct answers and outcomes, meeting client expectations as established by our team, leaving a clean site, minimizing distractions to our clients and recognizing unfulfilled needs/wishes we can address to thrill every client. Routine tasks include, but not limited to activities such as:

• Troubleshoot and repair AV equipment to ensure maximum performance.
• Coordinate with AV vendors/manufacturers for equipment service, repair, and/or replacement.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their audio and video requirements.
• Conduct regular system checks and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
• Provide technical support and training to clients on the operation of AV systems.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service requests.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Assist with installing, configuring, and maintaining audio and video equipment, including speakers, microphones, projectors, and video conferencing systems.
• Reports directly to the Service Manager. Skills required for this position are:
• Proficiency in troubleshooting AV systems and software.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience operating power and hand tools.
• Preferred experience mounting TVs and Projectors.
• Preferred experience pulling, terminating, and testing Cat 5/6 cable.
• Preferred knowledge of audio and video equipment and technologies.
• Preferred experience with networking and IT systems.
• Proven experience as an AV technician or similar role is a plus.
• Ability to climb ladders.
• Experience working with computers (MS Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, Zoom, etc)
• Effective time management skills.
• Critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt to challenges.

Other Requirements/Information:

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation capable of hauling assigned tools and a 6′ – 10′ ladder (Truck is preferred but an SUV/Van with roof rack can suffice).
• Ability to pass DISA hair follicle drug testing which will be performed at time of hiring and at random intervals throughout your employment.
• Ability to pass DISA background check.
