Job Summary:
The Audio/Visual Technician is responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and support of audio/visual equipment and systems. This includes, but is not limited to, projectors, sound systems, video conferencing platforms, microphones, recording devices, HUDL systems, Video Board systems and interactive displays. The A/V Technician ensures smooth execution of events, meetings, and classroom technologies through effective preparation and responsive troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, operate, and maintain A/V equipment across classrooms, conference rooms, auditoriums, and event spaces.
Provide on-site A/V support for meetings, presentations, assemblies, and live or virtual events.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to sound, video, projection, and streaming in real-time.
Maintain inventory of A/V equipment and accessories.
Assist with training staff and faculty on proper A/V equipment usage.
Coordinate A/V needs for special projects, events, and off-site presentations.
Maintain documentation for setups, troubleshooting procedures, and equipment inventory.
Stay updated on the latest A/V technologies and best practices.
