Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AV Technology Specialist to oversee and maintain a range of audiovisual and digital signage technologies within our facilities. This role will require a hands-on approach to managing everything from classroom projectors and meeting room systems to live-streamed events and interactive teaching tools. The ideal candidate will be proactive in troubleshooting, setting up AV systems, and ensuring the seamless operation of critical technology used for presentations, meetings, classrooms, and athletic events.

Responsibilities:
Classroom Projectors:

Oversee the setup, calibration, and maintenance of projectors used in classrooms and training spaces, ensuring high-quality visuals for presentations and lessons.

Auditorium & Presentation Setup and Maintenance:

Coordinate the setup and teardown of AV equipment for auditorium events, including sound systems, projectors, screens, and lighting, ensuring smooth operation and high-quality production values. Meeting Room Presentation Systems (Sound & Video Management): Manage audio and video systems for meeting rooms, including microphones, speakers, cameras, and displays, ensuring reliable performance and easy functionality for video conferencing and presentations.

Microphones & Portable Sound Systems:

Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot wired and wireless microphones and portable sound systems for events, meetings, and classroom use, ensuring clear and effective communication.

Technical Support of Streamed Live Meetings:

Provide technical support for live-streamed meetings and events, including managing audio, video, and streaming software, troubleshooting any technical issues during broadcasts.

Technical Support of Live Interpretation of Meetings:

Manage the technical setup and support for live interpretation services during meetings and events, ensuring smooth operation of interpretation systems and clear communication between speakers and participants.. Computer TV Monitor Casting /

Screen Sharing:

Facilitate seamless casting and screen-sharing solutions, allowing users to display content from laptops, mobile devices, and computers to classroom TVs, meeting room monitors, or projectors.

Classroom Sound Systems:

Ensure sound systems in classrooms are properly installed, maintained, and functioning, allowing for clear and effective communication during lessons or training sessions.

Interactive Teaching Flat Panels & Smartboards:

Oversee the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of interactive teaching tools such as flat panels and smartboards, ensuring their functionality for educational use.

Athletic Video Review and Performance Analysis Systems:

Manage and support video review and performance analysis systems for athletic teams, including video capture, playback, and integration of analysis software to support coaching and player development.

Food Services Cafeteria Menu Boards:

Support and maintain digital menu boards used in cafeteria or food service areas, ensuring that content updates are accurate and the system operates smoothly.

Lobby Digital Signage Support:

Provide support for digital signage in the lobby and other high-traffic areas, ensuring that dynamic content is displayed correctly and the system is functioning as expected.

Street Digital Signage Support:

Manage external digital signage used for street-facing communications, event promotion, or information dissemination, ensuring content can be updated and the system is reliable. Seeking those with the following or related qualifications: Proven experience with AV equipment, including projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing systems. Hands-on knowledge of live streaming, video editing, and technical support for virtual events. Familiarity with classroom and teaching technologies such as interactive flat panels, smartboards, and classroom sound systems. Experience with athletic performance analysis systems and video review software is a plus. Proficiency in setting up and troubleshooting microphones (wired and wireless), portable sound systems, and other AV equipment. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly resolve technical issues. Familiarity with digital signage management and content updates. Experience with video conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WebEx) and live streaming services (e.g., YouTube Live, Vimeo). Basic knowledge of control systems for AV equipment (e.g., Crestron, Extron, etc.) is preferred. Ability to run both an analog and digital lighting board and sound board. Ability to setup sound systems for both temporary and permanent uses Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with sound, lighting, and intercom systems and restore systems to full functionality. Familiarity with both older equipment and new equipment Strong communication skills, able to interact with staff, faculty, event organizers, and vendors. Certification in AV technology (e.g., Certified Technology Specialist – CTS). Experience with athletic video capture and performance analysis tools (e.g., Hudl, Dartfish). Familiarity with streaming platforms and live interpretation systems. Physical Demands:

Ability to lift and move AV equipment (up to 50 lbs). Ability to stand for extended periods, perform troubleshooting tasks, and assist with setup and breakdown of AV systems. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to support events.

Working Conditions:

Frequent travel between school district locations or event sites. Ability to work in various settings, including classrooms, auditoriums, meeting rooms, and outdoor venues.
