SPECIALIST SUMMARY
The Audio Visual (AV) Specialist is responsible for creating a friendly professional environment for our Guests and Employees while performing the install, monitoring and maintenance of all sound and video equipment, including speakers, microphones, video monitors and projection screens on the property.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: Depending on experience, some of the essential duties and responsibilities outlined below may be taught and demonstrated during the AV specialist training process.
- Reports directly to the Engineering Department Director
- This position requires being available 24 hours a day and the ability to respond to duty on short notice when emergency situations arise.
- Responsible for audio and visuals connecting The Brook and the Eureka Casino together. Assist with any and all types of events.
- Ensure equipment is in working order, by checking mics, speckers etc.
- Prepares audio and visual equipment for each meeting such as employee and casino events.
- Responsible for the install of equipment to ensure high quality and knowledge of how the equipment works.
- Ability to work independently while monitoring equipment.
- Communication reporting to mangers/ directors.
- Responsible for prompt and courteous assistance to all employee-owners.
- Ensures that all employees and management requests are completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure all demonstration and instructional equipment are functioning correctly.
- Update and maintain inventory of audio/ visual equipment.
- Protect information from unauthorized access and maintain security of data.
- Maintain and assist to seek improvements to the audio/ visual department.
- Understand and follow company and department policies and procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma At least one year work experience Experience with audio-visual equipment and systems such as; cameras, video monitors, speakers, and lighting setups Ability to plan and execute projects Knowledge and experience of customer service practices. Working knowledge of fundamental operations and troubleshooting audio/ visual.
AGE AND GAMING
21 years of age or above Non-gaming position
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Fluency in English required. Ability to read and understand documents in English written, oral or diagram form. Ability to respond to inquiries, complaints and emergencies.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic Math skills
- Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations. Requires the ability to understand and follow policies and standard operating procedures and be adept and proactive in problem solving. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The work environment requires work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions including cold and extreme heat conditions. The noise level in the work environment can range from low to moderate and loud. Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, employees must be able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
