Job Overview:

As an AV Technician, you will be part of a mobile installation team responsible for setting up Video Wall Display systems and AV components at customer sites across the U.S. This is a travel-intensive role requiring overnight stays, technical skill, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

Install Video Wall systems (55″ 80 LCD displays, wall mounts, Cat5/6, HDMI, and power cables)
Read and interpret project drawings to ensure accurate installations
Configure and align displays; color calibration and signal testing with engineers
Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Perform accurate measurements and level mounts/displays
Terminate cables: RJ-45, Phoenix Block, SC, and LC fiber
Assemble and install rack-mounted AV components
Receive and stage shipments at client sites
Troubleshoot display/system issues (error codes, cable/display diagnostics)
Support Implementation Engineers during integration
Follow tasks as directed by Project Manager or Site Supervisor
Perform other duties as assigned

Experience & Skills:

2+ years in AV or IT cabling/installation (Video Wall experience preferred)
Experience in a Lead Installation role is a plus
Valid U.S. driver’s license required
Strong communication (written & verbal)
Proficient in Microsoft Teams & Outlook
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage time well
Detail-oriented, mechanically/technically inclined
Able to work overtime as needed

Preferred:

U.S. Government Secret Clearance & AV industry certifications

Physical & Work Environment:

Work on active construction sites and client locations
Ability to lift 50 lbs overhead and stand for long periods
Comfortable on 6′-8′ ladders, scaffolding, and mechanical lifts
Capable of pulling cables and using tools in confined spaces (ceilings/floors)
Travel up to 85% weekly, requiring regular overnight stays.

Compensation:

The annual starting salary for this position is between $56,000 $60,000 annually.
