Event Crew Member Fireside Events, LLC Pittsburgh, PA Crew (Level 1) $20/hr during set up and tear down; $15/hr during event
Description:
As a Crew Level 1 member at Fireside Events, you will be an integral part of our event setup team. Working closely with the Event Lead, you will assist in setting up audio and visual hardware/equipment for basic, lower-level events. Your role requires a keen attention to detail, resourcefulness, and a hunger for learning. Description:
As a Crew Level 2 member at Fireside Events, you will have advanced expertise in setting up audio and visual hardware/equipment for more complicated event setups. From trussing to complex cable management, you will play a vital role in ensuring flawless production. Your experience and knowledge in this senior crew position will require a high level of attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and technical proficiency. By embodying our core values of enthusiasm, fire & grit, and efficiency, you will contribute to delivering next-level event experiences.
Typical events include:
Weddings School dances Birthdays, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs Corporate/non-profit fundraisers and events Races (5k-Marathon) Graduation parties Anniversaries, family gatherings
Responsibilities:
Delivers and arranges (sets-up) company-supplied audio/visual equipment at event locations, meeting the package requirements booked by the client Follow directions from Event Team Lead Follows provided timeline so that the run-of-show flows smoothly and efficiently Works hand-in-hand with event staff and planners/coordinators, creating a winning team for the client Troubleshoots any technical issues that arise without losing composure Tears down and returns equipment to the company warehouse at the end of the event
Qualifications:
A kind, outgoing, and enthusiastic personality to establish relationships with clients and their guests Ability to remain calm under pressure or when faced with adversity Ability to present a wholesome, professional attitude during setup, teardown, and duration of the event A background in operating audio/visual equipment Interest in mastering various software, learning the ins and outs of standard event A/V equipment, and developing a strong ability to trouble-shoot problems that could arise on an event Ability to lift equipment in and out of vehicle; equipment can weigh up to 88lbs The qualifications that are italicized above are essential for this job. We provide training to develop your skills in all of the responsibilities listed. We also provide all of the necessary equipment. Requirements Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle Formal attire for weddings and corporate events (we provide work shirts to be worn for casual events and crewing) Laptop computer
