Position Description Advertised Job Summary AV Project Coordinator Would you thrive juggling logistics: from scheduling, timelines, to gear lists? The audiovisual engineering team at the University of South Carolina wants you! So, what’s the day-to-day? You’ll coordinate cutting-edge AV installations in classrooms, meeting spaces, and large venues You’ll collaborate by translating customer’s needs and dreams into clear technical requirements You’ll partner with AV Technicians, Inventory Control Specialists, and AV Design team members throughout the lifecycle of a project You’ll be the face of the AV projects, from inception to sign-off You’ll be the glue that holds it all together: you’ll schedule and maintain project milestones with stakeholders ranging from architects, general contractors, to owners, and students. You’ll oversee equipment delivery, configuration, and leave a smile on our customer’s faces by knocking-out final punch lists You’ll monitor project budgets and document project progress in our super-slick work management platform, ServiceNow . We’d love to hear from you if you have: A bachelor’s degree and 1 or more years of AV experience Familiarity with audiovisual systems and technologies (Crestron, Extron, Shure, Biamp, etc.) Ability to coordinate with trades, vendors, and internal stakeholders Experience using project management or ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Asana, or Trello) Excellent communication and superb organizational skills Perks No travel required: Enjoy collaborating with colleagues on campus instead of spending hours on the road!

Assesses resource needs; identifies project stakeholders; schedules, plans, organizes, and coordinates University and external resources; and controls project scope to ensure all project goals are achieved in a timely and professional manner. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 30 Job Duty Proactively creates and maintains project/demand documentation in ServiceNow. Follows standardized DoIT practices including budget, procurement, and financial management, as well as documentation. Participates actively with the ServiceNow team to stay abreast of any procedural or other modifications that need to be followed in ServiceNow or encapsulated in project/demand documentation. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 10 Job Duty Initiates and maintains effective communication with project stakeholders including the client (college, school, department, or other unit), designated classroom/space coordinator, DoIT personnel, USC Facilities, other internal and external stakeholders (including architects, electrical engineers, and general contractors, suppliers and vendors). Coordinates and secures approval of project timelines, schedules, budgets and expenses with stakeholders. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty Coordinates project teams including engineers, programmers, campus architecture and construction management, and other stakeholders. Initiates procurement and confirms all inventory needed for assigned projects arrives in a timely manner. Coordinates with design, inventory, and installation teams, as well as and classroom/space coordinator, to schedule integration of systems.
